Hibi is built from open data and open source. This page lists each one and its license.

Learning content

• JMdict and KANJIDIC2, by the Electronic Dictionary Research and Development Group, used under the EDRDG licence (Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0). Hibi uses them for dictionary entries and readings.
• KanjiVG, by Ulrich Apel, used under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0. Hibi uses it for stroke order data.
• Tatoeba, used under Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 France. Hibi uses it for example sentences.
